Show notes:
In the first segment, our panelists discuss North Dakota’s proposed bill to require the Ten Commandments in all public and higher education classrooms. Supporters claim it instills moral values, while critics argue it breaches the line between church and state. The conversation explores whether religion and politics can ever be truly separated, and whether religious expression belongs in public education.
In the second segment of the show, we explore the court case Catholic Charities v. Whitmer, where a Michigan law bans faith-based counselors from offering alternatives to gender-affirming care. Catholic Charities and therapist Emily McJones argue the law violates their religious freedom, free speech, and parental rights. The panel examines the legal and ethical questions surrounding children’s mental health, religious liberty, and state intervention.
