Show notes:

In the first segment, our panelists discuss the heated controversy over Texas’s newly approved Bluebonnet Learning curriculum. Critics argue the materials are overly infused with Christian and biblical references, raising church-state concerns in public education. Defenders of the curriculum say the references are used only for historical and literary context. The panel explores what role, if any, religion should play in public school classrooms and whether this curriculum crosses constitutional boundaries.

In the second segment of the show, we explore the court case Aubry McMahon v. World Vision, Inc., in which a Christian nonprofit rescinded a job offer after learning the applicant was in a same-sex marriage. A federal judge ruled the action violated anti-discrimination laws, but World Vision argues it acted based on religious beliefs. Now on appeal, the case could have sweeping implications for LGBTQ employment protections and religious liberty across the country.
