Show notes:
In the first segment, our panelists discuss Arkansas being ranked the nation’s top state for religious liberty by the Religious Liberty Context and Index. They examine the legal protections behind the ranking, what states are doing to safeguard religious freedom, and whether these rankings tell the complete story of religious liberty in America.
In the second segment of the show, we explore the court case Union Gospel Mission of Yakima v. Brown, which examines whether religious organizations can require employees to share and live by their faith. The case raises important questions about religious hiring rights, church autonomy, and the government’s role in regulating faith-based organizations.
About the Show: Faith and Politics is a show dedicated to discussing issues surrounding the intersection of Church, State and politics and the examination of whether you are allowing your faith to shape your politics or your politics starting to shape your faith.
