Show notes:

In the first segment, our panelists discuss the growing religious diversity in the 119th Congress. While Christians still make up 88% of voting members, there’s a noticeable uptick in minority faith representation and the first-time appearance of openly religiously unaffiliated members. We’ll explore what these shifts mean for policymaking, public perception, and the generational divide in American religiosity.

In the second segment of the show, we explore the court case Mahmoud v. Taylor, where parents in Maryland are suing the Montgomery County Board of Education for denying opt-outs from LGBTQ+ themed books in elementary schools. The lawsuit, supported by a multi-faith coalition, argues that parents have a constitutional right to guide their children’s religious and moral education, especially on sensitive issues concerning gender and sexuality.
