Show notes:
In the first segment, our panelists discuss a growing conflict in West Virginia over religious exemptions to school vaccination requirements. The conversation examines a federal HHS letter backing Gov. Patrick Morrisey’s executive order requiring recognition of religious exemptions under state law, despite objections from the state Board of Education. Panelists explore constitutional questions, federal-state tensions, and what this dispute means for religious freedom, public health policy, and parental rights.
In the second segment of the show, we explore the court case LOE v. Jett, where a federal judge struck down a Minnesota law excluding certain religious colleges from a state dual-enrollment program. The ruling restored access for faith-based institutions that require statements of belief, finding the restriction violated the First Amendment. The discussion focuses on educational choice, religious discrimination, and the limits of state authority in funding programs.
