Show notes:
In the first segment, our panelists discuss a growing wave of violence against Christians in India, highlighted by over 700 reported incidents in 2024. They examine an urgent appeal by more than 400 Christian leaders to India’s president and prime minister, urging action to protect religious minorities and restore peace in Manipur and beyond. The conversation explores the broader implications for India’s democracy, pluralism, and global image.
In the second segment of the show, we explore the court case involving Southern Methodist University and the United Methodist Church. The Church, which founded SMU, is challenging the university’s attempt to sever historic governance ties. Our panel examines the legal and religious stakes of the case, focusing on the constitutional protections of religious institutions to govern their internal affairs without state interference.
