Show notes:

In the first segment, our panelists discuss the case of Marisol Arroyo-Castro, a Catholic public school teacher in Connecticut who was allegedly suspended and threatened with termination for displaying a crucifix near her desk. Legal groups argue the action violated her constitutional rights, igniting a wider conversation about religious expression in public schools and whether such personal displays cross the line in secular institutions.

In the second segment of the show, we explore the court case involving the Oklahoma Statewide Virtual Charter School Board and efforts to launch the St. Isidore of Seville Catholic Virtual School. The Oklahoma Supreme Court struck down the school’s use of public funds, citing constitutional concerns. Supporters argue this decision infringes on religious freedom, while critics maintain it upholds the separation of church and state in public education.
